Avary Noelle Byars
Avary Byars, 13, Murray, died June 23 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Union Grove Missionary Church, Puryear, with burial at the church. Trinity Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
She was a student at Murray High School.
Survivors are her parents, Marceralle Byars, Puryear and Rebecca Carter, Murray; stepparents Chrystal Byars, Puryear and Grady Carter, Murray; and local grandfather Joseph Williams of Paris.
Ronald Kenndy, 65, Paris, died at his residence June 24. McEvoy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The body will be cremated, with no services at this time.
Survivors include his parents Douglas and Rose Kennedy; his wife, Margaret; daughters Tina Brussell and Kim Adams of Michigan; sons Ronnie and Brian of Michigan and his brother, Terry, S.C.
He worked at GM in Detroit for many years.
Mike Hartsfield, 48, Paris, died June 25 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home, with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Don Hartsfield, Nashville; and Sue Carter, Paris; his wife, Christi; daughter Brandi of Fort Benning, Ga.; son Jordan, Paris.
He worked at Three Rivers Trucking.
Andrew "Andy" Bass
Andy Bass of Paris, died Monday, June 24, at Henry County Medical Center. Bass worked for both the Henry County Sheriff's Office and Paris Police Department, retiring from the police department in 2012 as evidence officer.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with cremation to follow.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; parents Harold and Allie Bass, Sr., Paris; daughter Lisa Ashley, Paris; sons Dennis, Oakland; and Donnie, Paris; sister Melody Long, Paris; brothers Harold Bass Jr., Henry; and Bobby Bass, Henderson.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was an avid gas station and Coke memorabilia collector. He was the subject of a Paris! magazine profile.
Anna Wengerd, 85, Cottage Grove, died at her residence June 25. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Christian Fellowship, Jones Bend Rd., with burial in New Boston Cemetery.
Her husband, Noah, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters Sarah Hostetler, Cottage Grove; Martha Esh, Charlotte; sons David, Lamar, Mo.; Andy, Paris; Daniel, Greensburg, Ky.; and Paul, Paris.
She was a member of Bethel Fellowship Church, Cottage Grove.
Darwin Werz, 66, Buchanan, died Saturday, June 22, at Paris Healthcare. A Celebration of Life will be held at Paris Landing Senior Citizen Center from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, with cremation to follow.
He married Margaret Manley Werz, who survives with a daughter, Cynthia Jones, Speedway, Ind.; sister Deborah Reese, Roanoke; and two grandchildren.
Janet Wood, 61, Paris, died Sunday June 23, at her daughter's residence. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She married Paul Wood and he preceded her in death. Survivors include her mother, Lucy Brennan, Branson, Mo.; a daughter Chris Crouch, Paris; and a son, Kurt Wood, St. Louis.
She was a veterinary technician at Lakeway Animal Clinic.

Elaine Frazier, 77, Henry, died June 21 at Henry County Medical Center. No services are planned at this time. McEvoy Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
She married Joe Frazier of Henry. Other survivors are a daughter, Neomi Durham, SUn City, Fla.; son Joe Frazier, Durand, Mi.; a sister, Ruth Reynold, New Jersey and a brother, George Palmer New Jersey; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Evan “Rooster” Hudson, Jr., 68, of Paris died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Paris Health Care.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Rawls Funeral Home. Elder James Travis will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be an hour before the service.
He was born August 7, 1944, in Paris.
He leaves two brothers: Leslie (Robbie) Hudson of Paris and Dorris (Barbara) Etheridge of Chicago; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.A sister, Elizabeth Ann Coats, also preceded him in death.

She was born in Osage, TN to the late Clyde Alexander and Edyth Beatrice Hill Freeland. On November 23, 1956 she married Jack Thomas Gream, he survives in Paris, TN.
Survived by a daughter: Lori Gream, Paris; sons: Barry Gream, Dallas, TX, Brian (Heather) Gream, Dallas, TX; brother: David (Bobbie Jean) Freeland, Paris; grandchildren: Kera Freeman, Brandon Gream, Britton Gream, Leah Raspberry, Jordan Raspberry, Dalton Raspberry, Brooks Wimberly, Isabella Gream, Banyon Blu Gream; great-grandchildren: Tripp Freeman, Shelby Gream, Alivia Gream; nephew: Jonathan Freeland.
Preceded by a son: Brett Gream, March 10, 2009.
Mrs. Gream was a member of West Paris Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and pianist for the children's choir. She was a real estate broker for Bass Realty and also a store manager at McDonalds in Paris.

She was born in Hazel, KY to the late Porter and Marie Patterson Bramlett. On July 6, 1972 she married Kenneth Castleman, he survives in Paris.
Survived by daughters: Cynthia "Cindy" Hendrix, Memphis, Vickie Collins Wimberly, Hardin, KY; step-son: Randy (Belinda) Castleman, Huntingdon; sisters: Patsy Bramlett, Hazel, KY, Katherine Phelps, Jackson, Sandra Boutwell, Hazel, KY; brother: Robert Bramlett, Hazel, KY; grandchildren: Gena Hendrix, Melissa Wimberly; step-grandchildren: Josh Castleman, John Castleman, Nicholas Castleman, Julie Castleman; great-grandchildren: Brea Wimberly, Bella Gore, six step great-grandchildren and a special cousin: Jean Vaughn Chenoweth.
Preceded by a son: Tony Castleman and two brothers: Porter Bramlett, Jr. and Jimmy Bramlett.
Mrs. Castleman formerly worked at Holley Carburator Plant.

Billy Sliger, 78, Paris, died June 10 at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with cremation to follow.
He worked 20 years for TVA as a heavy equipment operator. He was in the National Guard and a member of the Church of Christ.
He married Elgina Sliger and she survives with his son-in-law Gary Doughen, Paris; brother, Ted Jr., Paris; half-brother Jay Sullivan, Detroit.
