Herman Johnson

Herman S. Johnson, age 82 of Paris, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Henry County Medical Center. His body is to be cremated and his memorial service will be Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 12:30 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church where he was a member. Danny Williams will officiate and burial will follow in the New Beaver Dam Cemetery.

Herman Johnson was born July 27, 1934 in Scotts Hill, Tennessee to the late Ruffuss D. Johnson and the late Linnie M. Ross Johnson. On November 23, 2000 he married Susan Page Johnson who survives in Paris, Tennessee.
Besides his wife, Mr. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Debbie Todd of Mississippi and Judy Johnson of Dyersburg, TN; two sons, Malcom and Jerry Johnson, both of Union City, TN; one step-son, Johnny Willoughby of Paris, TN; one sister, Gail Britton of Alamo, TN; numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by two sons, Glen and Deeroy Johnson; two sisters, Faye Britton and Gladys Johnson; and one brother, John D. Johnson.

Mr. Herman S. Johnson was a veteran who served in the United States Army.

Jim Felock

Jim Felock, age 70, of Paris, Tenn, died Sunday, October 23, 2016, at his Residence in Paris, Tenn.

He was a retired Operator and Group Leader at Plumley/Dana Corporation in Paris. Jim had also co-owned and operated with his wife, State Line Lottery, Sandy's Stateline, and J & S Market. He last worked at Schwarz Supply in Murray, KY. Jim was Catholic.

Jim was born August 23, 1946 in Loveland, OH, the son of the late Earl Felock and the late Colletta Stigler Felock Link.

Jim was married June 15, 1972 to Sondra "Sandy" Powers Felock of Paris and she survives.  He is also survived by his one daughter, Lawana Hart of Paris, Tenn; one son, Robert (Transey) Hedrick of Spain;  one sister, Mary Ellen (Charlie) Smith of Bradenton, Fla;  10 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by two sons, Lawrence W. Meadows, and William D. Meadows; and brother, Earl Felock.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn, where the visitation will be from 2 – 6 pm Thursday, October 27, 2016.   There will be a Prayer Service at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 6:00 pm Thursday, October 27, 2016 with Billy Ross officiating. Cremation will follow the service.  

John Alan Williams

John Alan Williams, age 68 of Buchanan, TN, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his home in Buchanan.

Funeral service 2:00PM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Virgil Bishop officiating, burial will follow at New Beaver Dam Cemetery.

Named as pallbearers are Chuck Kinkead, Austin Kinkead, Wesley Williams, Ronnie Singleton, Larry Knott and Kenneth Barton.

Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Friday, October 21, 2016 and after 1:00PM Saturday.

He was born April 21, 1948 in Paris, TN to the late Kennie Edwin Williams, Jr. and Doris Simmons Williams.  On June 6, 1988 he married Janice Knott Williams, she survives, Buchanan, TN.

Survived by a daughter: Patti (Chuck) Kinkead, Como, TN; sons: Scott Edwin (Christy) Williams, McKenzie, TN, Brian Alan (Heather) Williams, Paris, TN; brother: Larry Thomas (Cherri) Williams, Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren: Lauren Harrison, Wesley Williams, Becca Williams, Austin Kinkead, Courtney DeShields; aunt: Jean Rotchild and close family friend: Jeremy Burkhart.

Mr. Williams was a US Army veteran who served with the 82nd Airborne.  He was the recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds received in Vietnam during action near Saigon.

Ann Pierpoint

Gloria Ann Pierpoint, age 78 of Buchanan, TN, died Monday October 17, 2016 at Benchmark Healthcare of Puryear, TN. 

 

Ann was a retired LPN from Henry County Medical center, and a member of Blood River Church of Christ and Woodmen of the World.   She enjoyed Crocheting and gardening. 

 

She was born July 10, 1938 in New Providence, KY to the late T. A. Oliver and the late Susie Bishop Oliver. 

 

Ann was married to Thomas Pierpoint on December 21, 1971 and he preceded in death on March 20, 2008.  She is survived by her son, Tom (Donna) Parker of Nashville, TN; sister, Carolyn Wheatley of Camden, TN;  step grandchildren, Adam Breen of Nashville, TN, Joshua Breen of Mt. Juliet, TN, Nathan Breen of Mt. Juliet, TN, Benjamin (Jennifer) Breen of Nashville, TN and David Breen of Nashville, TN.

 

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Fay Broach and Paulette Orr. 

 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Wednesday October 19, 2016 and from 10 – 11 am on Thursday October 20, 2016.  The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Thursday October 20, 2016 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with John Dale officiating.  Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers and Brooks Simmons is named as an Honorary Pallbearer. 

 

Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.

Debbie Sykes

Debbie Sykes, age 51, of Paris, TN, died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at her residence in Paris, TN

She was a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Debbie was born February 3, 1965, in Paris, TN, to the late Carl Douglas Howard and the late Bettie Jane Atwood Howard.

Debbie was married March 4, 1981, to Tim Sykes, who survives.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by her mother-in-law, Wanda Sykes of Paris, TN; a brother-in-law, Tommy Sykes of Paris, TN; and a nephew, Curtis Sykes, of Paris, TN.

Besides her parents, Debbie was also preceded in death by two daughter, Hannah Jane Sykes and Morgan Jane Sykes; a son, Timothy Chas Sykes; and a brother, Carl Lloyd Howard. 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where the visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10:30 am Wednesday, October 19, 2016.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Antioch Cemetery in Springville, TN.

Gary Collier will officiate.   

Pallbearers will be Tommy Sykes, Ricky Paschall, Jimmy Green, Dennis Fields, Brad Fields, Billy Fields.  Honorary pallbearers will be William Lee and Curtis Sykes.

Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery in Springville, TN.

Ruth Lovett Hart, age 65 of Buchanan, TN, passed away Thursday, October 13th, 2016 at her residence.

Dennis W. Daniels

Dennis W. Daniels, age 49 of Puryear, TN, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Paris, TN.

There will be a  memorial service 3:00PM, Saturday, October 15, 2016, at his home 2230 Hwy 140 West, Puryear, TN.


He was born in Pauls Valley, OK to Ruebin Daniels, preceded and Frances Lansdale Oliver, Puryear, TN.

Survived by sisters: Margaret (Frank) Johnson, Pauls Valley, OK, Donna Satterfield, Puryear, TN, Cathy (Jim) Burch, Pauls Valley, OK, Dorothy (Jimmy) Hamilton, Pauls Valley, OK, Debbie (James "Junior") Broome, Puryear, TN; brothers: Johnny (Julie "Pinky") Satterfield, Stratford, OK, Lewis Satterfield, Pauls Valley, OK, Tommy (Carol) Satterfield, Wynnewood, OK, David (Nona) Daniels, Pauls Valley, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Dolores Keller

Dolores Luella Keller, age 92, of Littleton, CO, died Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Brookdale Pinehurst Park Nursing Home in Denver, CO. 

Ms. Keller was a retired receptionist from the Paris Henry County Clinic in Paris, TN. She was a member of the Red Rocks Evangelical Free Church.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Harold Rinehart and the late Martha Conlin Rinehart. Dolores married Frank Keller August 9, 1943, he died January 26, 1996.

Survivors include a son: Frank H. Keller of Lakewood, Colorado, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2016 , at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 1 PM until her service. Her funeral service will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 3PM in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Johnny Farmer officiating.

Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, TN.

Dennis Daniels

Dennis W. Daniels, age 49 of Puryear, passed away on Tuesday October 11th. Funeral services are being handled by McEvoy Funeral home and will be held at 3pm Saturday October 15th at his home at 2230 Hwy. 140 W. in Puryear. Memorials may be made to First Bank, c/o Frances Oliver.

Cynthia Jennings

Cynthia (Cindy) Jo Jennings, 68, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016, surrounded by her family in Nashville, TN, after bravely battling heart and lung disease for more than 20 years.

Cindy was born in Paris, TN on April 12, 1948, to Robert Jerome and Rebecca Hartsfield Claxton. She was married to Charles Michael Jennings on November 11, 1967. She owned the Ragamuffin Shoppe, a children’s clothing store, for 18 years.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her two children: Nicole Jennings Wade, Jason (Julianne) Jennings, and her most precious granddaughter Lily, all of Atlanta; nephew Randall Bedwell of Franklin, TN; niece Lynne Bedwell Green of Paris; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Sandra Ann Bedwell of Paris.

A memorial service honoring Cindy will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 3:00 pm, with visitation at 2:00 pm at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris, TN. Reverend Eddie Martin of Camden will officiate.

Memorials may be made in her memory to Partnership Against Domestic Violence in Atlanta, GA.

Freddie Orr

Freddie Joe Orr, age 66 of Puryear, Tennessee died Tuesday October 11, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Freddie was a Member and a Deacon of Puryear Baptist Church in Puryear. He retired from ANR Pipeline after 29 years’ service as Office Manager and also retired from PMB Services in Paris after 10 years. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Born in Murray, Kentucky on April 3, 1950, He was the son of the late Telus Orr and Lottie Mae Kuykendall Orr who survives of Puryear, TN.

Freddie married Evelyn Cryer Orr of Puryear on February 22, 1974 and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Melanie Orr (Audie) Antonino of Paris, TN; Jodie (Jennifer) Orr of Hernando, MS; Brother Rickie (Judy) Orr of Puryear, TN; three grandchildren Khloe Antonino, Emma Laine Orr, and Griffin Orr; two nephews, Russ (Wendy) Orr of Puryear, TN; Jamie (Scarlet) Orr of Puryear, TN.

Visitation will be Thursday October 13, 2016, at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday October 14, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Puryear Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Puryear Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Paschall Cemetery in Puryear, TN. Russ Orr, Jamie Orr, Scott Berryman, Kerry Bell, Gary Gamlin and Tony Nance will serve as pallbearers, Deacons of Puryear Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Jesus Alvarado

Jesus Alvarado, age 52, of Henry, Tenn, died Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Jackson Madison Co. Gen. Hosp. in Jackson, Tenn.

 

He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris.  He formerly worked at Replogle Enterprises in Henry , TN.   He was a loving husband and father and he enjoyed watching soccer.

            

Jesus was born April 10, 1964 in Chavinda, Michoacan, Mexico, the son of the late Ezequiel Alvarado Cajigas and the late Cathalina Mandujano Ceja.

 

Jesus was married December 27, 1989 to Martha Vega Alvarado of Henry, TN and she survives.  He is also survived by his one son, Jesus Alvarado, Jr. of  Henry, Tenn;  three sisters, Beatriz Alvarado of Los Angeles, Calif, Lourdes Alvarado of Mexico, and Maria Alvarado of Mexico;  and one brother, Jorge Alvarado of Mexico.

 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn, where the visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016 with a Rosary Service at 6:45pm.  The Funeral Mass will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 6: 15 pm Thursday, October 13, 2016, with Rev. Enrique Granados officiating.  Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. 

Nancy Robinson

Nancy Davis Robinson, age 72 of Memphis, TN, and Paris, TN, went to be with the Lord October 10, 2016 after courageously battling cancer.

 

A native of Paris, TN, she was the fourth daughter of the late Alex and Gertie Townsend Davis.

 

Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, TN, will hold visitation on Wednesday October 12, 2016 from 4 to 7 pm.  The Funeral Service will take place at First Baptist Church in Paris, TN, at 1:00 pm Thursday October 13, 2016 with Rev. Paul Veazey officiating, preceded by visitation from 11 am to 1 pm at the church.  Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris.  Pallbearers will be Gregg Veazey, Roger Veazey, Reece Veazey, Evan Parkhill, Bryan Parkhill, and Stephen Austin.   Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Kesterson, Danny Kesterson, and Mike Robinson.  In Memphis there will be a Memorial in Celebration of the Life of Nancy Davis Robinson at Kirby Woods Baptist Church at 1:00 pm Thursday October 20, 2016 with Rev. Carol Richardson officiating. 

 

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William “Bill” Robinson, who was her high school sweetheart; son, William Hunter Robinson(Wynn) of Memphis; daughter, Heidi Austin (Stephen) of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Lillie Robinson, Caroline and Lindsey Austin;  sisters Ailene Parkhill (Roland) and Peggy Veazey (Paul) of Paris;  and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Preceding Nancy in death was her oldest sister, Betty Fraley of Sarasota, FL.

 

A graduate of  E.W. Grove High School in Paris, TN, Nancy continued her education, earning her undergraduate degree from the University of TN at Martin and her Master's degree from the University of Memphis.  Through the years, she taught at Memphis City Schools, Briarcrest, and Hutchison School.  Not only did she teach, but she tutored quite extensively.  She had a deep love for her students.  Active and energetic, she played basketball and was a majorette in both high school and college.  Also in college, she was a Campus Leader, an ROTC Sponsor, a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, and listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.  With her family many fun hours were spent on the lake waterskiing.  She was always ready for a good tennis game, and as an avid walker, she enjoyed that time spent with neighbors and friends.  Her grandchildren were her delight, and she experienced much joy playing and spending time with them.

 

A student of the Word of God, Nancy for years attended Bible studies, taught Sunday School , and was influential in sharing her faith and spiritually impacting the lives of many. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7 describes her life as a Christian.

David Gillipse


David Gillespie, age 70, of Paris, Tenn, died Saturday, October 8, 2016, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a US Army Veteran.  He formerly co-owned Gillespie Motor Company with his brother, Jack and was the current owner and operator of J & J Sales and Rentals. He enjoyed golf, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

David was born September 9, 1946 in Paris, TN, the son of the late Carl Gillespie and the late Viola Davis Gillespie.

David was married on December 28, 1968 to Linda Holland Gillespie of Paris, and she survives.  He is also survived by his one daughter, Jane Ellen (Theo) Paraschos of Charleston, S.C.;  one son, John David (Tiffan) Gillespie of Nashville, Tenn; two brothers, Jack (Betty) Gillespie of Paris, Tenn, and Jimmy (Judy) Gillespie of Huntsville, Ala;  three grandchildren, Nikos Paraschos, Rhodes Paraschos, and Hudson Gillespie; and several nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, David was also preceded in death by sisters, Carlene Patterson, and Jo Larsen.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn, where the visitation will be 12 – 2 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016, with Dr. Robert D. Susie D. Olive

Susie D. Olive, age 98, of Puryear, Tenn, died Friday, October 7, 2016, at Paris Healthcare and Rehab Center in Paris, Tenn.

Susie was the oldest living member of the East Wood Church of Christ.  She retired from the Holley Carburetor Plant.

She was born May 7, 1918 in Cottage Grove, TN, the daughter of the late Travis "Doc" Pearl Maddox and the late Patria Pearl Pennington Maddox.

Susie married Clovis H. Olive December 18, 1936 and he preceded in death on January 18, 1998.  She is survived by her one son,  Jerry (Martha) Olive of Paris, Tenn; one sister,  Bonnie (James) Dobson of Sedalia, Ky;  four grandchildren, Cindy Cullen, Pat Olive, Rodney Weaver,  and Amy Jopson; and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, Susie was also preceded in death by sisters, Jean Osbon, and Robbie Fletcher.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn, where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Saturday, October 8, 2016 and from 12:30 – 2 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2016.   The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 9, 2016 with Adam Currence of East Wood Church of Christ officiating.

Pallbearers will be Reggie Osbon, Mike Osbon, Randy Cullen, Rodney Weaver, Asa Jopson, and Brian Foster.

Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.

Martha Berlin

Martha Cate Berlin, 96, died on October 6, 2016 in her home in Decatur, GA, following kidney failure.

She was born November 5, 1919 in Henry County, TN. She was one of 7 children of Thomas M. Cate and Alma Wimbish Cate and was raised on the family farm in Henry, TN during the Great Depression.

Despite her father's concern about the team's uniform of shorts, she played basketball on the Henry High School team, where she was known as a strong defender. 

She met Staff Sargent Leon Jacob Berlin of Atlanta on Christmas 1945 after his return from World War II and operations in Europe. They were married August 9, 1947. She was greatly loved and given flowers almost every week of her life by her doting husband. They had three children and celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this summer. 

After graduating Tolers Business College she moved to Atlanta to take a job with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Later she took a job as a secretary for Frito-Lay until her retirement in 1985.

She is survived by her beloved husband Leon; sons: James and wife Connie Sexton Berlin of Norcross, GA;  Michael, and his wife, Maria Bermudez Berlin of Murphy, NC; grandchildren, Jacqueline Berlin and husband Keith Santer of Atlanta; Brian Berlin and wife Mandi Mahaffee Berlin of Viera, FL; Chris Berlin of Norcross, GA; Stephanie Berlin Viscarra and husband Freddie Viscarra of Suwanee, GA;  Michael A. Berlin and wife Beth Malivuk Berlin of Woodbridge, VA; 6 great-granddaughters; sisters Faye Jones and Sara Scott, both of Paris, TN; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathryn Lisa, who died at age 11 of cystic fibrosis.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5-8 pm and on Sunday from 1-2 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Decatur.

Keith Casteel

Keith Casteel, age 80 of Paris, TN, formerly of Savannah, TN, died Thursday October 6, 2016 at Plumley Rehab Center in Paris.

Keith was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. After serving his country he worked in Forestry Management for many years in the timber and papermill industry.  He last worked for Packaging Corporation of America in Counce, TN.   He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Savannah, TN and former Deacon.   He was also a former board member at the Savannah-Hardin County Airport and a Civil Air Patrol member.  Keith was an Auburn University Alumni and former Little League Baseball Coach in Savannah, TN.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially ginseng digging with his father and brother.

Keith was born July 24, 1936 in Collinwood, TN, the son of the late James Herman Casteel and the late Opal Bryant Casteel.

He was married September 12, 1959 to Marjorie O'Brien Casteel of Paris and she survives.  He is also survived by his one son, Chris (Lisa) Casteel of Paris, Tenn;  one grandson, Mitchell Casteel of Paris, Tenn;  two nieces, Lisa (Gary) Morton, and Paige (Chris) Jackson; and several cousins.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Von Herman Casteel and Gary Randall Casteel; and grandson, Jameson Casteel.

Margaret Atkins

Margaret "Martee" Atkins, age 91 of Memphis passed away at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2016 at Balmoral Presbyterian Church, 6413 Quince Road, Memphis, TN 38116. A Graveside Service is scheduled at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Maplewood Cemetery in Paris, TN. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Atkins will be Bill Powell, Brody Hall, Tim Swindell, Drew Hall, Wes Doyle, Bill Young, Paul Atkins, Shane Atkins, and Art Hall.

Margaret Humphreys Atkins was born July 25, 1925 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Daniel Owings "D.O." Humphreys and the late Margaret Ann Travis Humphreys. On February 15, 1947 she married Mr. Obie Marion Atkins who preceded her in death on May 4, 1992.

Mrs. Martee Atkins is survived by one daughter, Margaret "Meg" Atkins Jones of Memphis, TN; one son, Paul Calvin (Katherine) Atkins of Cumming, GA; one brother, John Travis Humphreys of Huntsville, AL; four grandchildren, Shane Atkins, Travis Atkins (fiance Chris Meyer), Kimberly Atkins (Justin) Budzinski, and Meghan (Wes) Doyle; four great-grandchildren, Tristen Mitchell, Caden Mitchell, Olivia Doyle, and Madison Budzinski; two nieces, Catherine Atkins Hall and Vita Swindell; great niece, Aynne Swindell Worthington; and two great nephews, Drew Hall and Brody Hall.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Owings "Bud" Humphreys

Mrs. Atkins taught deaf students for over 30 years.

Kay Green

Kay Green, age 72, of Paris, Tenn., died Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, Tenn.

She was a member of East Wood Church of Christ and former sitter.  She enjoyed caring for others and was the caregiver for her parents for several years.   Kay was a member of TOPS.  She enjoyed crocheting, and in her younger years enjoyed skiing, bowling, and playing Rook.

Kay was born September 10, 1944 in Paris, TN, the daughter of the late Sedrick Chandler and the late Beatrice "Bea" Jeans Chandler.

She was married on December 31, 1966 to Kevin Bruce Green and he preceded in death on February 29, 2000.  She is survived by her one daughter,  Kevina Green of Ringgold, Ga; one son, Kevin L. (Tracy) Green of Great Pond, Maine; and grandchildren, Abbie Green, Daniel Green and Alex Green.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her half brother, Wesley Dwin Franks.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn where the visitation will be from 1 – 3 pm Friday, October 7, 2016. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 3:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2016 with John W. Dale and Dennis Johnson officiating.

Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.

Paul Bucy

Paul Edwin Bucy, age 68, of Paris, Tenn, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at his residence in Paris, Tenn.

He was a member of the church of Christ and was a retired truck driver after many years.   He was a devoted husband, father, son and Papa.

Paul was born March 17, 1948 in Dearborn, MI, the son of the late John Paul Bucy and Edith Woodruff Bucy of Paris, Tenn.

He was married on May 25, 2010 to Tamela Mae Osborne Bucy of Paris, and she survives.  Besides his wife and mother, he is also survived by his three daughters, Shannon (Jason) Parker of Springville, Tenn, Shelley Bucy Culver of Puryear, Tenn, and Shereece (Joseph) Walker of Puryear, Tenn;  three step-sons, Cody (Roberta) Bonifas of Celina, Ohio, Caleb (Ashleigh) Bonifas of Celina, Ohio, and Brandon Jacobs of Paris, Tenn;  one sister, Becki (Bruce) Walker of Buchanan, Tenn;  nine grandchildren,  Jesse Parker, Jaden Parker, John Paul Culver, Jacob Culver, Bryce Walker, Jenna Beth Walker, Myles Bonifas, Connor Ward, and Maezee Bonifas; and four great-grandchildren, Jake Parker, Jaren Parker, Emily Parker, and Gracie Coltrain.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn, where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Thursday, October 6, 2016 and from 11 am – 1 pm Friday, October 7, 2016.   The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2016, with Don Campbell and Betty Dunlap officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Walker, Jason Parker, Jesse Parker, Cody Bonifas, Caleb Bonifas, Brandon Jacobs, and Austin Zumbroegel.   Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryce Walker, Myles Bonifas, Jake Parker, Connor Ward, John Paul Culver and Jacob Culver.   

Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Buchanan, Tenn. 

Jimme Sue Boutwell

Jimmie Sue Boutwell, age 65, of Paris, Tenn, died Monday, October 3, 2016, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.

She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and a retired cosmetologist. She also was a sitter with A-team Sitting Service.    Jimmie Sue collected angels and loved taking care of her family.

Jimmie Sue was born February 7, 1951 in New Hall, CA, the daughter of the late James Bomar and the late Sylvester Maynard Bomar.

She was married on October 5, 1991 to Mark Edward "Bama" Boutwell of Paris, TN, and he survives.   She is also survived by her three daughters, Angela Lockard of Paris, Tenn, Amber Garner of Paris, Tenn, Michelle (Wayne T.) Bradley of Paris, Tenn; two sons, Chad (Malissa) Garner of Paris, Tenn, and Mitch Boutwell of Paris, Tenn; three sisters, Melanie (Ron) Milosevich of California, Mary (Brad) LaFleur of New Mexico,  and Cecile (Chuck) Rider of Oregon; one brother, Rudy (Marita) Brokenleg of Colorado;  14 Grandchildren; and 1 Great Grandchild. 

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Lynn Lockard; and brother, James Bomar. 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St,  Paris, Tenn, where the visitation will be from 2 – 4 pm Saturday, October 8, 2016.  She is to be cremated with a Memorial Service at Paris Convention Center at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2016 with Bro. Jerry M. Lee officiating.

June Parker

June Parker, age 65, of Johnston City, IL, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 2:00 PM at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Interment will be in VanDyke Church of Christ Cemetery.

Robert Carrington

Robert "Bob" Carrington, age 86 of Paris, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Henry County Medical Center. His funeral service will be Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Corey Sawyer of East Wood Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Buchanan. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday and after 9:00 AM Thursday.

Pallbearers for Mr. Carrington will be Jason Smith, Bill DeWees, Steve Delaney, Charlie Neal, Bob Comer, and Randell Beasley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Carrington Jr., Ben Carrington, Allison Carrington, Jonathan Beasley, Nathan Beasley, Zander Carrington, and Tage Carrington.

Robert Edwin Carrington was born May 29, 1930 in Victoria, Mississippi to the late Edwin Carrington and the late Ruth Richardson Carrington. On June 18, 1949 he married the former Ms. Barbara Garner who preceded him in death on November 15, 2013.

Mr. Carrington is survived by one daughter, Tracey Carrington (David) Beasley of Buchanan, TN; three sons, Robert Donald (Mary) Carrington of Southaven, MS, Dale Garner (Andrea) Carrington of Sandy, Utah, and Edwin Carrington of Paris, TN; one sister, Edna Rikard of Brownsville, TN; five grandchildren, Dale Carrington Jr., Ben Carrington, Allison Carrington, Jonathan Beasley, and Nathan Beasley; two great-grandchildren, Zander Carrington and Tage Carrington; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Bob Carrington was a member of East Wood Church of Christ. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. He then began his 30 year preaching career in 1972.

William R. Campbell

Longtime Paris Physician, William Russell "Bill" Campbell, age 74, of Paris, TN, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, at his residence in Paris, TN.

Bill was a lifetime Medical Doctor.  He was a member of the Tennessee Medical Association and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.  His hobbies were deer hunting, and historical firearms & accessories.  He was a member of Paris First United Methodist Church.

He was born February 25, 1942 in Nashville, TN, to the late William Joseph Campbell and the late Elizabeth Graves Campbell. 

Bill graduated from Hillsboro High School in Nashville, TN, in 1960, and Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN, in 1964.  He attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, where he graduated in 1967.  Bill served his internship at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN.  He was a Medical Doctor in Piggott, AR, for one year before coming to Eastwood Clinic where he practiced for 32 years.

As a member of the US Navy,  he served as a Lieutenant Commander in Vietnam from 1970-1971, where he received the Navy Commendation Medal with combat “V” for Valor.     

Bill was married January 6, 1968, to Martha Fridenberg Campbell, who survives.

Along with his wife, he is survived by Joseph Russell (Shani) Campbell of Dover, TN;  Lee Michelle Campbell (Todd) Whisenant of Lake Wylie, SC, and Sara Elizabeth “Beth” Campbell & friend Jeff Berg of Moclips, WA; a brother, Kevin Gray Campbell of Arrington, TN;  grandchildren, William “Will” Todd Whisenant, Campbell “Camp” Lee Whisenant, William “Joe” Joseph Campbell, and Shelby Dian Campbell; and nieces, Virginia “Ginny” Jones Reed, and Bonnie Jones Hillier.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Campbell Jones; and a brother, John Mark Campbell.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, where a celebration of life visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Paris Convention Center Tuesday, October 4, 2016, and from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.  

Gary Collier and Dr. Joseph A. Geary will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Will Whisenant, Campbell Whisenant, Joe Campbell, Tony Carter, Chuck Stevens, Dr. Wayne McGee, Patrick Campbell, and Andy Hooper.

Honorary pallbearers will be all retired Doctors from Eastwood Clinic in Paris, TN.

Interment will be at Campbell Cemetery in Paris, TN.

Donald Winchester

Donald “Donnie” Wayne Winchester, age 69, of Paris, TN, died Friday, September 30, 2016, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.

He was a lifelong painter and contractor of 50 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, who loved fishing and hunting.  He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Donnie was born March 21, 1947, in Paris, TN, to the late Waddy Winchester and the late Mary Burnett Winchester. 

He was married August 26, 1964 to Donna Warren Winchester, who survives.

Along with his wife, he is survived by one son, Ricky (Sheila) Winchester of Paris, TN; one sister, Brenda (Dale) Smith of Paris, TN; one brother, Jim Winchester of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Cody Winchester, Autumn Winchester, Riley Winchester, and MaCrae Winchester; one great-grandchild, Jasper Giesler; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Boyke, Shelby Jean Winchester, and Carolyn Winchester; and a brother, Ray Winchester.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, where visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2016, and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Bethesda Cemetery in Paris, TN.

Carlos Enoch

Carlos Ray Enoch, age 79 of Paris, TN passed away Tuesday September 27, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, TN.

Funeral service 11:00AM Monday October 3, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. John Smith, Fairview Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Sunday October 2, 2016 and after 9:00AM Monday.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Sue Esra Enoch, Paris, TN; daughters: Debbie Dean, Ramona Pierce; sons: Mike (Misty) Enoch, David (Laura) Enoch; sister: Elva Medlock; brother: Clyde Enoch; grandchildren: Wayne (Sue) Enoch, Josh (Pam) Enoch, Ben (LaToya) Enoch, Lani (Justin) Enoch, Dustin Enoch, Tiffany Miller, Johnny Pierce, Jr., Bert (Jenny) Pierce, Demina "Dee" (Clint) Rogers, Stephanie Dodd, Nathan Dodd, Greg Dodd, Michael Dean, Shanna Mathis.  He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and special family friend Tina Stamps Enoch.  Carlos is preceded by a daughter: Carla Smith (2010); son: Anthony Enoch (2016); daughter-in-law: Cindy Enoch (2014); son-in-law: Jesse Dean (2015).

Mr. Enoch was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.  He worked and retired from Plumley/Dana as a supervisor.  Carlos was a family man who loved dogs, the outdoors, and model railroading.

Roberta Ann Rish

Ann Rish, age 72 of Puryear, TN passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at Murray Calloway County Hospital. Her body is to be cremated and her memorial service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 1, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Randy Roberts of Set Free Ministries officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday prior to the memorial service.

Roberta Ann Foland was born July 18, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Earl Foland and the late Clara Arnold Scott. On November 21, 1974 she married Charles Rish who survives in Puryear, TN. She is also survived by one daughter, Michelle Thompson of Puryear, TN; two sons, Bruce Pendergrass of Paris, TN and Jason (Rebekah) Pendergrass of Unionville, TN; two brothers, Butch (Mary) Foland of Gleason, TN and Tony (Carman) Foland of Malta; three grandchildren, Andrew Thompson, Justin Pendergrass and Elizabeth Pendergrass; and a great niece, Amanda (John) Webb.

Mrs. Rish was a great mother and grandmother and she loved to quilt.
